Over the past several years, my brother and I have noticed that football commentators have been using terms and phrases that are overused, ridiculous, and basically make no sense. On a weekly basis, we email each other the random things we hear while watching games. After watching Monday Night Football on November 4, 2013, I have decided that I have to share what we like to call "Language of the Game."
The main goal of this blog is to write about the terms and phrases I hear while watching football and make the reader realize how truly absurd some football commentators sound when they speak. Once you begin listening for the hidden language, it makes watching games even more enjoyable.
In addition, there will be a focus on football terminology and how new words and expressions are continuously being created.
